AMWAJ Development hits major construction milestones across two Meydan projects
One development enters finishing works while another advances through its structural phase
DUBAI – AMWAJ Development is advancing construction across two residential projects in Meydan, with The Cube Residences reaching 50 percent overall completion and Gate Eleven progressing to 35 percent.
The milestones highlight continued activity across the Dubai-based boutique developer’s portfolio as major infrastructure works reshape connectivity in the surrounding district. Both developments are progressing towards their scheduled completion dates, with The Cube Residences targeted for Q1 2027 and Gate Eleven for Q1 2028.
The construction updates come as Meydan forms part of Dubai’s wider residential growth corridor, supported by significant investment in roads and transport infrastructure. In August 2026, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority awarded contracts worth Dh1.161 billion for the Al Meydan Street Development Project.
Infrastructure boost
The RTA project covers 17 kilometres of roads and 3.7 kilometres of bridges, along with cycling infrastructure. It is expected to serve residential and development areas with a combined population of more than 500,000 people, with completion targeted by the end of 2028.
The project is also designed to increase the capacity of north-south traffic corridors by 18%. A route linking Al Manama Street and Dubai-Al Ain Road with Umm Suqeim Street is expected to see travel times fall from approximately 30 minutes to 10 minutes once the works are completed.
Against this backdrop, The Cube Residences has reached the halfway mark in overall construction. The project is moving through several finishing activities, with blockwork, internal plastering and painting each at 95% completion.
Dry-area flooring has reached 85%, while external plastering stands at 70%. Wet-area flooring and wall tiling have both reached 40%, with mechanical, electrical and plumbing works at 45%.
Project timelines
The progress places The Cube Residences increasingly into its finishing stages, with the development designed to combine residential accessibility, open space and proximity to key business and leisure destinations across Dubai. It remains scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027.
Gate Eleven, meanwhile, has reached 35% overall completion and remains scheduled for delivery in Q1 2028. Its overall structure is 70% complete, while blockwork has reached 15%, marking its continued movement through the structural phase.
The project is located in an area undergoing extensive infrastructure development through the wider Al Meydan Street project. The road scheme is intended to strengthen links between major corridors including Al Khail Road, Latifa bint Hamdan Street, Al Marabea’ Street and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.
AMWAJ Development Founder and Chairman Emad Saleh said the two projects represent different stages of construction, with one moving towards its final phases while the other makes structural progress. He said the company views construction milestones as a step towards delivering homes and communities.
CEO Murad Saleh said the developer’s focus remains on residential environments that are accessible and thoughtfully designed as Meydan develops alongside investment in surrounding infrastructure.
